More Blocks For Jaxson and Mango Moon Cardigan Updates

Two more squares have arrived from the LSSK gals. The top in white a Texas star is from Vicki and the bottom in purple is a Texas square from Caroline. Thank you both very much they are beautiful.

This is what we have so far. I casted on a square with the pattern from Vicki Designs of a Cowboy Boot in the light green to match one of the squares in color.

All the knitting is done, only the side seams to go. But I have put it aside to try to get the blankies done. But even working every night on them I don't have them done to take this weekend to the baby shower in Blanco. Oh well, they'll go with me when he arrives.

Mango Moon Progress and LSSK Texas Squares

Progress on the Mango Moon Cardigan is going great. The back, fronts, shoulder seams done and both sleeves are done, and the button band stitches are picked up and have 2 rows on it. Whew this thing is getting heavy to handle. It will be a really warm cardigan that's for sure.

More LSSK squares have arrived. These two are from Carrie and Dawn. Both yellow but differing shades. These two are from Sandy from Midland. The one on the left is actually a baby washcloth and sooooo soft.

This one is from Alice and has a heart in the center. It is so pretty.
These are what we have so far. I will be getting busy and make at least two more to fill in and make a total of 12. I think one in the pale yellow and maybe another one in green to make it even. Then get to stitching it together.

New Project

I casted on a new project this evening. Something for me with "bigger" needles than all the baby thing's I've been doing. I have had 12 hanks of recycled sari silk since Christmas and I have finally decided what some of them will be. The Mango Moon pattern for the Basic Cardigan. http://www.mangomoonyarns.com/Basic_Cardigan.html
The yarn knitted together with a strand of mohair on 10 1/2 US needles so it's going pretty fast. Already have 15 rows on while watching Babel with dh.
DD2 and I went to have pedicures this afternoon and it was such a pretyt day I got my car washed so now we'll get some rain. LOL.

DD1 called and had to to to ER last night with what they think is a kidney stone. But has to see her OB doctor tomorrow for sure. She was feeling better this afternoon and Jaxson seems to be fine on her vicodin LOL. She says's he's all mellowed out. Still kicking and all but not like his usual soccar practice, LOL.

More Blocks For Jax

I have finished 3 blocks for the new blankie. These are my first attempts at intarsia knitting, whew.

I have also received two more blocks from the LSSK group bringing the total to 8 blocks so far. These are from Dawn and Carrie. Both yellow but different shades. One is very pale and looks white in the photo.
